Gung Chae Nampla (Shrimp in Spicy Sauce)

I can't find the picture I took so I will borrow this picture from the internet for awhile. I will replace it with mine once I take a new one.

I recently went to a restaurant and someone order this plate and a guy from the US who came with us loved it and asked me for the recipe. I never make it but I helped my mom preparing the dish many times. It's one of my favorite thai dish.

Ingredients:
  • cabbage
  • shrimp
  • 4 spoons of lime juice
  • sliced garlic
  • chopped chili (as much as you like)
  • 3 spoons of fish sauce
  • mint leaves
  • sliced bitter melon (if you like)

1. slice cabbage into small pieces and place it on a dish
2. clean and peal the shrimp and place it on top of the cabbage
3. mix lime juice, fish sauce and chili together and pour it on top of the shrimp
4. if you like cooked shrimp you can let it sit till the shrimp turns red for a bit
5. serve with sliced garlic, mint leaves and sliced bitter melon
